✦ FAQ
We built PEIT to feel simple — but if something's unclear, chances are someone else asked the same thing.
Can't find your answer? Get in touch →PEIT currently supports dogs and cats. We're working on expanding to rabbits, birds, and small animals in a future update. If you have a specific pet you'd like us to support, let us know — it helps us prioritise.
You point your camera at your pet's food bowl and PEIT's vision AI identifies the food type, estimates portion size, and maps it to a nutritional profile. It works with dry food, wet food, raw diets, and mixed bowls.
The more you scan, the more accurate it gets — PEIT learns your pet's specific feeding patterns over time.
No — and it's not designed to. PEIT is a preventive health layer, not a diagnostic tool. Think of it like a fitness tracker for your pet: it helps you notice patterns and changes early, so when you do visit your vet, you come with better information.
PEIT can generate a Vet Summary — a clear timeline of changes, scores, and behaviours — that you can share directly with your vet.
The Health Score is a composite of all the signals PEIT tracks — energy, appetite, sleep, mood, coat, hydration, and routine. In the first few days it's a directional estimate. After 7–14 days of consistent logging, it becomes a reliable baseline unique to your pet.
It's designed to show change, not just a number. A drop from 88 to 74 over three days is more useful than any single score in isolation.
Your pet's data is yours. We never sell it, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising. Anonymised, aggregated data may be used to improve PEIT's AI models — but never in a way that identifies you or your pet.
Most pet parents notice meaningful patterns within the first week. PEIT will start flagging changes after 3–5 days of consistent check-ins. The Health Score becomes genuinely predictive after about 14 days — once it has your pet's personal baseline.
The Vet Summary is a clean, shareable PDF that shows your pet's Health Score trend, notable behaviour changes, meal patterns, and any flagged concerns — all with timestamps. Vets consistently tell us it makes appointments faster and more productive.
